As a Vendasta Accounting Technician, you will be one of our “go to people”, handling requests from Vendors and employees. This job will entail payroll processing and remittances as well as other accounting related tasks. Join the Vendasta accounting department, where everybody counts!

Responsibilities:

• Processing payroll & other benefits through ADP Workforce Now
• Government correspondence and compliance, such as T4 reporting and grant submissions
• Entering of general bookkeeping data
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements including foreign exchange
• Processing accounts payable, including posting invoices and issuing payments
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation

Qualifications

• Accounting diploma or similar 2 year business course
• Minimum 3 years of solid knowledge of payroll procedures/applications (ADP Workforce Now would be a definite asset)
• Experience with payroll tax legislation across Canada
• 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of full cycle accounting concepts and procedures
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in preparing, entering and reviewing financial and payroll information.
• Excellent organizational and follow up skills with an ability to meet deadlines
• Exceptional verbal communication skills along with the ability to be collaborative yet confidential
• PCP Certification is a definite asset
